He is an experienced professional in privacy engineering, with expertise spanning the full spectrum of the discipline — from its theoretical foundations and engineering methodologies to supporting infrastructures and the practical implementation of privacy-preserving solutions across projects of varying scales.Dr. Alshammari leads the development of data regulatory and governance frameworks covering the full data lifecycle, including data governance, privacy, cross-border data transfers, data sovereignty, data sharing, and the responsible use of data. His work focuses on establishing regulatory frameworks and governance models that enable organizations to maximize the value of data while ensuring compliance, trust, and the protection of national and individual interests.His research interests are in usable privacy, aimed at finding ways of striking a balance between data utility and privacy with a view to building and maintaining privacy-preserving and data protection-compliant systems in various domains.
