Dr. Hotham Altwaijry

Dr. Hotham Altwaijry is the Deputy CEO of the National Center for Artificial Intelligence, Saudi Data and Al Authority, where he plays a key role in shaping strategy and ensuring that data and AI initiatives deliver measurable national impact.He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine, and offers technical depth informed by executive leadership experience. His career includes a progression of senior roles contributing to Saudi Arabia’s data and AI ecosystem, including Assistant Director for Digital Identity and Advance Recognition Technologies (iDART) in the National Information Center (NIC) and Deputy Supervisor of the Centers of Excellence Program (JCEP) in King Abdulaziz City for science and technology (KACST).In his leadership role, Dr. Altwaijry contributes to the strategic guidance, innovation, and executive stewardship for AI and data initiatives aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and long-term national priorities.
