Laurent Ach is an expert in machine learning, especially interested in explaining the essential differences between human and artificial intelligence. He started his career as an engineer, working on industrial and research-oriented projects in AI and VR in the 90s. He worked at Thales, Safran and several startup companies. In 2014, he created and led the European team of Rakuten Institute of Technology that contributed to many innovations in machine learning, deep learning, computer vision and natural language processing. He has been CTO of Living Actor, CTO of Rakuten France, and is currently CTO of Qwant.
